If you want to know if the urinator works
The urinator fake pee officially is Dr. John’s synthetic urine. They are concentrated liquid vials. We do not sell or recommend dehydrated or powdered synthetic urine.
Make Sure and only use Duracell Copper Top Batteries. No other brand will work. Even Duracell Pro cells or Duracell Industrial 9 Volt batteries will NOT work.
When you are finished with the device make sure and disconnect the batteries. Alkaline batteries will leak corrosion when they become discharged to much.
That leaking discharge is very corrosive and can destroy the electronics.
Make sure and watch the video a few times and get used to wrapping the device.
Make sure the ends are also closed off.
If you do not close the ends off. you it will reduce working time by approximately 25 percent.
If you have some Duracell batteries in your smoke detector and try and use them in the unit, then there is a pretty good chance it is not going to work the way you want it to. Use only brand-new Duracell Copper Tops.
The batteries supply power to the electronic module and the heating pad.
Room Temperature (70 F) is the coldest you should start with when you plug in the batteries.
DO not expect the device to heat up a frozen sample on a set of batteries.
If it’s 30 Degrees outside and it has been in your car all night loaded with water.
If you plug in the batteries. The heating pad will try and unthaw the block of ice in the fluid bag.
However, the batteries will run out of power long before it ever gets to the correct temperature (98F).
If the fluid temperature on the bag does not show any temperature and the fluid feels cold then you should warm the fluid in the bag up.
The lowest the temperature on the LCD strip goes is room temperature (70F).
If it’s too cold then unwrap it from the fluid pouch and place the fluid bag somewhere where it can get some warmth.
Just holding it in your hand can help a lot.
Putting it in the dash of your car with the defrost on high heat can help.
Placing the fluid bag against your skin will help at least get it into the 80’s and that can mean the difference between passing and failing.
While warming the fluid bag up. Make sure and do not have the batteries connected. You will just be wasting battery power.
IF YOU START WITH HOT WATER
The same thing can happen if it’s too hot.
If the inside of your car is 110 F and you have left the device full of liquid all day. Then you probably need to let it cool off.
In this situation, you can immediately connect the batteries. It will not use any of the power in the batteries until the fluid temperature drops below 98 F.
If it is wrapped up correctly in the fabric wrap then you can start counting 4 hours of temperature stabilization from that point.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE CAP
It uses a medical-type cap that will not leak. However, do not tighten the cap as soon as you feel any resistance when screwing the cap on. Then that is tight enough. If you tighten the cap, you may not be able to get it unscrewed.
